Inrtoduction

 

This is an introductory programme that aims to provide participant with the basic information and knowledge on Islam. It starts by giving a surface overview of Islam and all the pillars of Faith and Islam.

 

Programme Objectives

 

At the end of this programme students will:
 

·     - Understand the meaning of Islam
- Know the articles of Faith (Ar-Kaan Al-Iman) & the principles of Islam (Ar-Kaan Al-Islam)
- Be able to perform the solah (obligatory prayer)
- Comprehend the true meaning and Islam as a way of Life

Programme Structure

 

This programme consists of 6 core module that is designed to provide new learners of Islam an insight of Islam as way of Life. It covers all the main topics related to Islam beginning with definition of Islam It will cover the 3 main basis of Islam which is Iman, Islam Ihsan. This programme will also include All-Quran recitation and beginners and Tahsin level. This programme will be conducted over 9 weeks. Each lesson is 2 hours long. Participant will be given a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.

 

Course Synopsis

 

Compulsory Modules

 

Module 1 : Introduction to Islam (Basic)

This module focuses on the basics of the Islam. It then discusses the articles of Faith, the Principles of Islam & Ihsan (Best & Righteous Conduct). Some aspect of Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqeh), such as As-Swalah, Istinja’, Fasting (As-Suam), Az-Zakah, & Hajj

 

Module 2 : The Foundation  of Islam 1

This module further discusses the various provisions (ahkam) in Fiqh especially those pertaining to the acts of worship (Ibadat). This includes the chapter in Toharah & Solah. This module will explain not in depth but will explain in an extensive manner, aspects that are more practical in daily life.

 

Module 3 : The Foundation  of Islam 2

This module will elaborate aspects on the Sirah of the Prophet s.a.w. It will give reference to what lessons that can be learnt for the Sirah and to be implemented in daily life. It will shed light on the importance of understanding the Sirah of the Prophet s.a.w.

 

Module 5 : Al-Quran 2 - Tahsin (Improvement)

This module will stress on the fluency of reciting the Al-Quran. Stress wil be given during recitation without the explanation of Tajwid rulings.

 

Elective Modules

 

Module 4 : Al-Quran 1 - Introduction

This is an introductory module to the fundamentals of reading the Al-Quran. Focus will to given to letter recognition, short and simple verses. Tajwid will be introduced subtly without given stress on it

 

Module 6 : Introduction  & Practical

This module is basically on practical solah. Students will be given practical lesson on solah in normal circumstance and in special circumstances like solah on the plane etc. Students will be explained on the flexibility of solah and the dynamics of it.

$80 for new students. (Fees do not include notes or books). Converts will be given 50% subsidy.

All new registrations will be given a “Moderation in Islam” book for free.
